Future a la carte model example. This would be bad news for the true sports fan.
If everything was strictly a la carte like all you are all hoping, ESPN would probably charge $30-40/mo for all their content (ESPN, ESPN 2, ESPNU, ESPNNEWS, ESPN+). Then Turner would charge at least $25.00 for all their content (TNT, TBS, TRU). Then Fox would charge at least $25.00 for all their content (FOX, FS1, FS2). Then CBS would charge another $25.00 for their content (CBS, CBSSPORTS). Then NBC would charge x amount for their content... Then sports start streaming on Yahoo, Amazon, Neflix, Hulu, and they charge x amount for their content.. and it goes on and on. Pretty soon we have to choose which network we are going with, cause we can't afford them all, then all the other games on the other networks we miss out on. Sports watching experience goes south fast. In this model, we would literally be paying $150-$200.00 just to get access to all the content that we would need as a true sports fan.
