Because he always seemed so arrogant. Not confident, but arrogant. He has always
reminded me of that kid in high school who is on the football team, and part of the "popular" crowd, but isn't anywhere near as good at football as he thinks he is, and nowhere near as well-liked by the "popular" kids as he thinks he is (and they make fun of him when he's not around), and he seems to know it deep down inside and tries to compensate by treating people badly. Most of the people he treats badly are either smaller kids or people who are at a safe distance. He won a couple of fights against kids that weren't so small, so he and his buddies think that they're pretty tough. However, when he goes up against big, strong kids who are in good health, he gets curb-stomped. You know. That kid.

It would be one thing if Whittingham had acted like that only in college, but had matured as he got older, but he hasn't. He's just the same immature, arrogant jerk, but with enough money and power to treat people badly on a larger scale.

A lot of people here say that he got a lot of his behavior from Urban Meyer. I guess he may have, in a sense, but when it comes to playing the psychological game, Urban Meyer is Yoda and Kyle Whittingham is Jar-Jar. Whittingham just plain isn't smart enough to do it the way Urban Meyer does.

Plus, Kyle Whittingham has one of the most punchable faces that I have ever seen. Almost as punchable as Bryce Harper's face.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying that I would attempt to punch either of them, and I'm certainly not advocating that others do so. I'm merely pointing out that they have the kind of face that is more likely than others to trigger a physio-psychological response in other humans, involving a desire to strike that face with a fist. That is compounded by bad behavior.
