When he was younger he played in the Utah Soccer Association. He played for the dirtiest, foulest team in the league. One of my favorite memories was beating his team 10-1 in a cup final. He was trying to use his influence as one of the head refs in the state to maniuplate the ref of our game into being favorable to them.

That said, he has called this game mostly pretty well. Shepard's first yellow was deserved, but the second was not even close.
