BYU v. Utah was Thursday night of opening weekend, with no competition

BYU @ Tennessee game went head-to-head with the LSU-Texas game on ABC that had 8.63 million viewers. That viewership of 8.63M would have been the 5th most watched game of the regular season last year and is likely to be one of the most highly-viewed games of the regular season this year. (Notre Dame @ Georgia will be a blockbuster this weekend).
