I know there are a lot of traditionalists on here and whille I agree that BYU needs to go fully back to Royal, but the royals should be a part of a greater theme having a number of uniform combinations. Why??? Mainly because young people and more specifically the kids that BYU is recruiting love the combinations. And it is the trend. there are very few schools that don't have several uniforms combinations. Even Ohio State has at least one alternate uniform combination.

And pretty much every team in the NFL has at least one set of alternative uniforms, and usually 2 or 3.

I'd like to see, other than the normal home and away uniforms....

1. Wear the blackouts at least once a year, whether its on the road or at home.
2. We need an ALL ROYAL look including royal helmets with an alternative logo (Large Sailor Coug? The Beat Digger Coug? Something different).
3. Those throwbacks are sweet and they need to be worn every year at least once.
4., And wear All whites at least once per year. I know people think that these are jinxed, but the data does not support this, and they look sweet.

The uniform variations definitely can be a recruiting tool.
