How is saying the game against them could go either way underestimating them? That's giving them respect.
However, BYU beat them last year, and the team is better this year. Yeah, it's at their place, so they get a bump for home field. I think saying "it could go either way" is accurate.

They play Colorado State on Saturday. We'll have a much better idea of how good they are after that game.
