reminds me of a story about the 1970s Philadelphia Flyers AKA the Broad Street
Bullies.
Flyers at the time just pummeled teams, both physically and on the scoreboard (won 2 straight Stanley Cups in the 70s and were renowned for their nastiness, even in the wild 70s NHL). A crap team (I think the New York Islanders) were in town. The Islanders somehow got the first shot on goal but at the end of the 1st period hadn't gotten any more - the shots were 30something to 1 for the Flyers. I think the score was 4 or 5-0. The Islanders filed into the dressing room kinda quietly and started to sit down and one guy just yelled out "Okay, who's the ******* who took the shot that pissed them all off?"
