end up winning the North and South of the P12, meaning one is champion and the other the runner up and if Tennessee actually ends up being a decent bowl eligible team then I am taking those games for sure.
If on the other hand those teams all end without making a bowl or barely making a bowl game then breaking an unheard of 9 losses to Utah is what I am taking all day long, especially if they are having a good year. I will qualify all this by saying I would not select a Utah win with losses in the other 3 P-5 if that meant we looked inept and got dominated by our opponents in those losses. I want to beat Utah but I want to see BYU play well more than anything. I don't mind losing if it looks like we were outplayed and we play well.
All and all I'm pretty happy with this season thus far but 9 losses in a row still rankles a fair bit. My #1 desire going in the season was to win at Utah so unless we go 11-1, make a great bowl, maybe get a bunch of guys drafted or get some national awards then 11-1 does not necessarily seem better than a 9-3 or 8-4 season w/ a win against our rival.
