That's correct BUT there is a major flaw in me being flippant about the band
that I will acknowledge. Those kids have spent just as much time (or more) over the years practicing as the players on the field. They deserve to be there and they have earned more credit than I'm giving them. I honestly enjoy their half time show and when they play the fight song after touchdowns. I just wish there were a better way in 2019 to have them compliment the massive sound systems and pump up music that gets everyone hyped at football and basketball games.
