and stumbled over to our sideline rather than his. He came right to me and I could see the lights were on but nobody was home. He turned around and ran/stumbled to his sideline where he collapsed. Ambulance on the field and a long time getting him bundled up for transport. Nothing broken, "just" a nasty concussion. He never played again and has permanent brain injury. I hope it turns out better for this young man.

So, not a very uplifting post on my part. It's a tough sport and you never know.
