IMO yes. I mean, I don't judge those who do, but my preference is this
Always OK but not necessarily recommended:
- Win against top 10 while ranked no better than 20th
- Win against top 5 while ranked no better than 15th
- Win against top 2 while ranked no better than 6th or 7th depending on how early in the season
at least 2 of the following, or one as well as some other extenuating circumstance such as a 9 game losing streak to rival:
- Bowl Game or conference championship game
- Overtime / Last play is deciding play (excluding kneels. So an interception followed by one or more kneels counts)
- Rival
- Win against top 10 while ranked no better than 20th
