Ticks me off that insurance can stop covering a medication out of the blue
My insurance company covered Vyvanse, and now they don’t. Middle of the plan year, and they just drop it.

When I finally find a medication that works for my son, they decide it’s no longer covered for some reason. They say I can just switch to a generic, but they don’t work for him.

So now we’re back to “experimenting” with different psych drugs, and this last month has been a certified disaster. My son has straight Fs, can’t focus on anything, is belligerent, et al.

The insurance company won’t give me details as to why they stopped covering it. Does anyone here know why they do it and why they CAN do it? One of the reasons I went with the plan I did was because I knew I could spend $75/month on meds instead of $750/month.

Life sucks sometimes.
