If though BYU were open to paying a staff more and could talk seriously to Mike Leach, Darrell Bevel, or even an Andy Reid 10 years ago I think elite coaching could put us on par with ASU or WSU.

What Whit has going with always having elite d lines and defensive backfields is unique and similar to where we were with quarterbacks in the 80s and 90s. As long as he and/or Scalley are there they will always be a top half p5 team because of that
