The problem with mutts is that genetic problems aren't gone...
but they do become untraceable as you lose tracking of parentage and genetic history. Mutts are just as susceptible to the problems of their heritage... however, an inbred line of purebreds can certainly accentuate issues. Responsible breeders try to get the genetic issues out of their lines though.
