Critchlow made some mistakes. But, three times he got sacked on third down deep in UMass territory. 2 of those times he didn’t have time to set his feet. The third, he was flushed of the pocket and should have thrown it away.

In the first half, Squally had 7 rushes for 58 yards. He would rip off a couple of long runs and then we wouldn’t go back to him.

Critchlow was brought out of redshirt year to be the starter. For most of the season, I don’t think he was getting any reps in practice.

iIRC, UMass was one of the worst rush defenses in the country and we passed almost 46 times with 47 sack yards and 4 interceptions.

So, we put the game on the shoulders of a freshman QB with 2 starts under his belt.
