It doesn’t. We still have our 2012 plasma. And it’s great. But it looks gray

Yeah, plasmas may retain their color longer than oled but the picture comparison between my pioneer plasma

Plasmas also had true black.

Not really. Because the cells have to be precharged to have adequate response time they aren't truly black like an oled.

OLED can literally turn off pixels (giving you the truest black possible).
