LaVell years we were doing something innovative that no one else was.... so we took our average talent level (across the board, of course we had some stand outs - as we do now) and raised it by implementing a passing attack that was unique to the game at the time.

Bronco years our D was innovative and he was EXTREMELY disciplined- again, raising our talent level up a notch and making us better than our athleticism.
