I would agree that our coaching is weak right now. However, the bigger issues are our depth and the motivation of our players. Every year we begin September with an absolutely brutal schedule, usually playing out of our leage. We'll usually get one or two exciting wins, but then the physical and emotional toll from a front-loaded schedule hits the team hard in early October. That's when the injuries pour in. But then the worst part happens - we travel across the control to play UMASS or USF and lose. Why? Because we have no reason to win. While everyone else is in a battle for a conference, we are already out of the national conversation. In my opinion, this is incredibly toxic for players. We need to give them a reason to fight through the rest of the season. Or at least reduce the ridiclously front-loaded schedule so we can reduce the injuries and survive the year.
