Invest how they're capable, you don't have to take sto many risks on coaches and get the right ones in there in the first place. Then maybe you're to the point as a program where your consistently only worried about beating P5s and taking the next step because you've got everything else covered. Not hard to figure out where it all starts. Just let the freakin department run itself. Ironic that a university boasting a fancy business program doesn't swim to understand or care about the concept of ROI. Stop being afraid to let them spend (invest) money. There's spending just to spend, and then there's investing. Invest to get more guaranteed returns. Why is this so hard. But no, let's handcuff them financially, intentionally limit the coaching pool of only the money making sports, and enforce silly rules.
