straight time and fans were ready to extend our coach after the USC game. That type of thinking would never ever happen at a place like Alabama. After we got steamrolled by Washington at home, most fans were still happy we went 2-2 in the opening four games and still had high hopes for the rest of the season and hopes it could still be special. The mobs and pitchforks didn't come out until after the Toledo and USF games. At that point, most P5s around the country would start having that mentality as well.
