That's a horrible relationship to keep going.
If the only way to keep a relationship going is to put dogs around your allergic kid...then you guys would be way better off having no relationship with the SIL.
The good thing is...it's not too late. Don't let those dogs in your house or around your kids. SIL can get bent.
