No I would not go protest. But that's not the correct comparison.
The more on point question is: if I worked for a company with business interests in that foreign country, and I knew it would please my employer if I tweeted that my church leader was misinformed and not properly educated on the situation, would I do it? And then would I backtrack and say my tweet wasn't about the substance of my church leader's criticism? And then when nobody believed that, try framing it as concern for my loved ones' safety (which only proves that the church leader's critique was spot on)?
