I’ve never been impressed with him...
Not accurate at all. Case in point was the end of their game with Auburn this season, he’s gotta throw a ball into the endzone the final play of the game and he throws it 10 yards beyond the back of the endzone. Just chocked it with no touch and no accuracy.

Guys with big arms always get hyped but touch and accuracy are so much more important. I think coaches think they can teach or coach touch and accuracy but a big arm is just a natural trait so they go with a guy with a big arm and figure they’ll teach him the other traits but the truth is touch and accuracy are just as much an inherent trait as arm strength. Guys either have it or they don’t, they can’t improve it very much just like they can’t make their arms much stronger.

It’s really a spacial and cognitive talent to be able to throw with accuracy and the proper touch. They have excellent vision. Some guys just have the natural ability to quickly analyze where a ball needs to go and how best to deliver it to that spot. And by quickly I mean not consciously it is just a natural talent and so they don’t have to think about it their brains just take the input from their eyes and quickly translate it to their motor skills to make a good and accurate throw with the proper speed on it.

Just having a strong arm doesn’t mean a guy has that ability so the truly great ones have that arm coupled with the cognitive abilities or vision and splacial awareness to put balls where they need to go.
