I was watching a live match on tv as a young boy. Emile Griffith was fighting a guy called Benny Kid Paret. Griffith caught Paret in a corner and began to pummel him. Paret couldn't fall down. He was in a corner. The ref didn't stop the fight. Paret died that night.
