Some interesting buzz around the web today regarding Taysom...especially considering NFL current events. Two ideas being kicked around by analysts/bloggers and fans:
1 - Taysom's playing time goes up dramatically Sunday against the Bears if Kamara is severely limited or worse...is a scratch. No one seems to think Latavius Murray can/will be a workhorse if AK can't go. Many think Payton will find a way to get some of Kamara's normal touches to TH. Also...starting TE Jared Cook is also questionable. This could also slide some H-back/TE reps to Taysom.
2 - With the injury to Mahomes (and other NFL starting QBs)...Taysom "could" (and I emphasize STRONGLY...could) be on the trading block. Some seem to think with the NFL trade deadline approaching...and Bridgewater's steady (if unspectacular) play in relief of Brees...the Saints might listen if someone calls them up about Taysom.
Personally....I hope #1 come to pass. And I hope #2 NEVER does. IMO...the Saints and Payton are the very BEST possible scenario for Taysom's long-term NFL future. It's the kind of team/coach/talent fit we all hoped for with Jimmer in the NBA. Not sure if any other NFL HC's/GM's would look at Taysom and see the same possibilities that the Saints do.
