Taysom right out of high school, but Taysom chose Stanford over BYU. Then towards the end of his mission, Taysom learned that Stanford was not so flexible about the timing of his return. Stanford expected him to finish his mission 4 months early or wait until the following year to get on scholarship. So at that point, Taysom did not want to be sitting around in Pocatello for a year until the next school year and he decided to switch. BYU was happy to take him when he was free to switch schools at the end of his mission.
