I'm confused about SL12's post below...
Are there a lot of people that are so disenchanted with the program that they really feel that "BYU needs to decide to either fund the team or shut it down." -SL12

Why in the heck would we shut it down? Even if they decide not to fund it more and grow less and less relevant, would you really rather not have a BYU football team at all if that was the case? What would killing the football team accomplish? This seems pretty darn dramatic to me...

Do you just not want to have to choose between BYU and Utah? Would no Cougar Football give you an excuse to cheer for a different team... which subconsciously you would rather do? Why not just move along instead of calling for the death of the program? I mean, look at the other crappy teams in the country. Are they calling for an end to their programs?

Believe me, i'm not happy with where things are... just asking for clarification.
