All things considered... he played great. I was actually pleasantly surprised at how he played. Thought he made good decisions, had a couple really great throws (Bomb down the sideline to Talon), and looked very poised for his first start against not only a rival but the 14th ranked rival. He deserves a spot in BYU history.

Unfortunately... as memorable as his first start was.. it could be his last ever at BYU. a Bye week enables Jaren to get healthy and most likely return as the starter. Barring another injury Jaren will play until Zach gets back and Baylor gets pushed back to QB 3.

Hopefully things don’t turn out that way and he sees the field again because he deserves it... but that might just be football for you.

What a great night and great win either way and I’m happy for him and the team.
