Since we are on a crowd sourcing style of coaching, here is my idea. I have no idea if the coaching staff has penalties for players being stupid during the game or being lazy. If not, her is my idea of how they could implement something so players think twice before hitting someone who's 10 feet our of bounds, or giving up on a play.
As the team is watching film, every play is analyzed for mistakes, penalties etc. Whenever something happens the team gets to vote.
1)Boneheaded play
2)laziness
3)sheer stupididy
4)out matched physically
Each one has a penalty attached to it (sprints, laps etc) and a weight to it depending on what is seen as worse (laziness). The higher the majority votes it as being something the worse the punishment. So, if 100% of the team think it was just the player being lazy, then the penalty would be alot worse for that player than if it was split 50/50. That way, the player is held accountable for stupid mistakes/laziness.
