Just my opinion, but the fan support is what enables the admin to avoid making
the difficult decisions to take the program forward. If you continue to put butts in seats and can subsidize the top 10 golf and cross country teams, why would you change?
I’m not suggesting everyone stop going to the games but I’m not sure what, short of attendance tanking, will convince stakeholders they need to be investing more resources to keep the golden goose happy and healthy.
