Great thoughts and I felt very similar.  I'm amazed at how many people on here think the "negativity knows no bounds."   A great percentage of the board/fans were ready to send Sitake and staff packing after USF, and ready to extend them 5 years after Boise.  That bi-polarness is what knows no bounds.

I have been very vocal about this staff and my position that it should be let go.  There are glaring shortcomings in the coaching at BYU.  If you can't see them, that doesn't mean those of us who do are lost in our negative perception of everything.  While I loved and enjoyed each win this and every year, I still recognize the issues and areas the team/program MUST improve if they ever want to be meaningful in CFB ever again.  I don't want a flukey win or two per season, I want BYU to get to the top of the CFB mountain.  Does that make me a negative nancy or just a realistic and informed fan?

The fact remains that although that was a fun win on Saturday, the signs are there that this program isn't anything more than mediocre at best.  And IMHO, those same issues are consistent through Kalani's tenure and yes, that leaves one feeling a little deflated.
