Wait. Did you just equate local radio sports talk guys to "journalists"?
Some radio guys also have journalism gigs on the side. Most radio guys - especially if you're talking small town locals - are just fans who got lucky and are "living the dream" of working in sports. I wouldn't call them journalists. They are more commentators than anything.
