What was strange was that BYU beat #14 ASU on the road, and that was our last
OOC win over a ranked team in a true road game for many years, IIRC. So we had that one nice win mixed in there with losses to the likes of Rice, UTEP, New Mexico, and utah. BTW, ASU ended the season with the same #14 ranking.
The offense got most of the blame for the mediocre season, especially Feterik, but the D wasn’t very good either. They gave up 35 or more points in 4 games.
