That used to be the rule. You couldn’t assist at all. Maybe you remember the
Infamous “Bush Push” from the ‘05 NDvUSC game. People were in an uproar that a flag was at thrown when Bush had clearly pushed Leinart into the end zone. Not sure when it was changed but it was after 2005.
