Rocky Long is someone who is easily offended and thrives on feeling disrespected
While he uses it for motivation, I don't think that is his original intent. I watched him for several years when I lived in Albuquerque. He has extremely thin skin and had a local media that fed it.
He and DeBerry at AFA were mortal enemies for several years because of DeBerry supposedly apologized during a press conference after losing to UNM.
