Theres alot of nonsensical aspects of this rivalry. (all of it) but on of the underrated funny ones is how both sides think the media is pandering to the other. Its clearly an overreaction stemming from the aversion to any/all positive stuff the media says about the other and believe me I catch myself doing it all the time. But, overall, they are pretty consistent. In independent smaller time periods where things are going well/poorly for one or the other, there will be a time limited period of slant towards optimism or pessimism, usually pretty focused to one area. The macro view is a simple equation in shared media spaces. Sit on the fence between the two and spread blanket positivity, sprinkle in some skepticism where you've picked your surface level battles. But that positivity is always underlying and overwhelming. They know what they are doing. Its not in their best interest to lean either direction in the grand scheme. Thats what the non shared spaces are for
But really though...kidney car commercials? An advertisement? Im not sure what boundary thats crossing for you. My best guess is having to hear Utah peoples voices...talk about charity?
