So he could make sure that team got up for the 1 or 2 P5 games he had on the schedule and then he could pretty much cruise through the rest of the season and dropping the occasional game to Wyoming wasn't as big of a deal. If LaVell was facing the same sort of schedules that Kalani is I doubt he would have had as many 11-1 seasons because there'd likely be some P5 losses sprinkled in there along with the head-scratching USF or Toledo.
