contact or solve even the most basic problems on their own. There’s some interesting research(several diff sources) re depression, lack of resilience, self esteem & loneliness, compared w pre-2012 & now, and it’s alarming.

I see a radical difference in most young people, but it’s a touchy thing discussing the issue. I think parents helicoptering is another big part of the issue. Kids end up unable to emotionally deal With setbacks and problems, and unable to actually resolve problems due to parent bailouts at first hint of trouble. I have nephews and nieces who’ve rarely done anything outdoor, their entire lives. Even bicycles & skateboards. All digital, all the time.
