Sports fan but games like last night made him one. Top it off with the players and coaches interaction and that kid couldn’t stop talking about how awesome it was. I didn’t hear anything about video games for almost 2 hours after the game.

Can I say first and foremost the Pope is great. He gets it. After the game he spent FOREVER thanking fans and I saw him building up his players. The team visibly appreciated the fan support. Also I think attrition at BYU is going to drop a lot next year. Pope rotates people in and it’s pretty awesome. Guys feel like they are part of a team and not just bench players.

Alex Barcello in my view gives this team an edge they have not had. The last few years it felt like the team felt like they where wronged when things didn’t go their way. Alex seems to believe or act like he can make things go their way. I think he’s become the leader in many respects on this team.

When Yoeli comes back this team Has the potential to be very good. I hope it gels the way we’d project. Yoeli taking Lee’s time plus.

TJ Haws - I think Haws played great last night. He cant control what others do when he makes a nice pass and they drop it. His shot selection was good. Oh and hitting that game winner.

Kolby Lee is painful to watch but we need him. He’s the only big that can’t be pushed around as much in the paint.

Dalton Nixon, Zac Seljaas, Connor Harding are the solid depth this team needs. I was super impressed with Seljaas. Silly facial hair aside he balls out. Harding is going to be a fan favorite by the time he graduates.

Jake Toolson- we are really lucky to have him. I don’t always like his iso at the top of the key. And he’s a little too confident with his ball handling skills but he is a leader and solid threat.
