Be careful what you wish for
Under your logic BYU would never make the playoff.
Also, this isn’t the year to diss the Pac-12 as Oregon and Utah are both in the top 10 late in the season.
A conference champion ranked in the top 10 and with one or fewer losses wins out over a runner up in another conference in my book.
Should that be Utah then they are just as deserving as many of the playoff teams that were selected in prior years.
