We have now had our new puppy for a week now and the thought of a big cage in my living room was mildly disturbing to me....so I went down to Home Depot and purchased some lumber and stain and built a top for the dog crate so we can use it as an end table. it is probably the first wood work project that I designed and built in years. This is completely out of my comfort zone.


I am sure I could have made it much nicer, but I kept the design simple to match my skill level. I Measured it out, sanded, nailed and stained it.

I think it turned out nice and my wife was blown away. I don’t think she realized I Was DIY capable. Haha

The stain turned out much grayer than I wanted but she liked it. So I guess we’ll keep it for a while. Not bad for a Saturday morning.
