Looking to hook my tri-fuel generator up to house's natural gas

I have a tri-fuel generator (gasoline, propane, natural gas). The generator provides about 6,600W continuous or 8,000W surge capacity. In the several years we have used it I've only used gasoline. I think I'm ready to take the next step for using propane from a small portable tank, but also to connect it to the natural gas coming into our home. I obviously need to hire a qualified technician to put a valve on the natural gas feed. At the same time in reading the generator instructions I need to ensure that the pressure going into the generator is within a certain pressure band - not too high or too low. Sounds like I need to get a special valve for the natural gas. And probably another special valve to hook it up to my smaller propane tank.

In the past gasoline has worked just fine in the few situations where I needed it. Last year - our neighborhood was moved to a different power substation that is much further away and more prone to outages than we have been used to. So I'm thinking if I hook up to the natural gas that it will be a more reliable and steady source of fuel than dealing with gasoline.

Anybody have experience in working with this kind of situation? Any tips or additional suggestions?

TIA
