^^^^^^^THIS^^^^^^^ Comparing Bronco to Sitake is apples to oranges
...but people want to see what they want to see. Sitake and staff are trending up...Bronco had leveled out. We were never going to land an amazing LDS, card-carrying, highly experienced head coach that bleeds blue. The landscape shifted under our feet.

Sure Sitake and staff are still making mistakes, but Holmoe can see the progress, albeit slow and incremental. The WRs are dropping a lot less passes, DBs are significantly better over the last three years and one is going to get drafted, QBs are skilled and competing, our OL is getting bigger and better, we'll have a DL drafted, recruiting has been better for what we are trying to do, we landed a double minority grad transfer from the SEC, more youth are playing larger roles, and all this while the schedule is getting harder.

Are we where we want to be? No. Are we moving in the right direction? Yes, so you extend Kalani.

I think when Utah won the P5 lottery, BYU needed to figure out how to keep pace. Have we? Not very well. But we need take into account that keeping pace would mean we would need are a top 15 team. No one expected Utah to be so consistently good over time. They have put the pieces in place to maintain dominance over the long run. I don't think they are going to go away soon.

Holmoe wants to achieve the same thing, but has to do it with the HC handicap and without winning the P5 lottery. Both he and Sitake get it and want it. Give it time. We are catching up.
