“Just win baby” is great in principle, but what difference would it make to fans?
If BYU wins 9 vs 7, it has no impact on BYUs bowl.
If BYU wins 9 vs 7, it has no impact on conference standings or championships.
If BYU wins 9 vs 7, it may have a small impact on rankings; because a 7 win team wouldn’t finish the year ranked, while a 9 win team would if BYU won its bowl game too.
But does this move the needle with recruits or increase fan attendance? I’m not so sure
