Did you really just spew a bunch of Yewt stats?
Why? My post is more about Arizona than it is about Utah.
My point is pretty straightforward. The point is that Arizona throughout the years is REMARKABLY CONSISTENT in beating ranked teams at home on an annual basis. Beating a ranked team at home in 13 out 15 years is not common in CFB. This is especially true for programs that finish .500 or worse half of the time.
My examples show Arizona’s home success against top teams are not limited to a particular coach, or player, or opponent, or even the quality of the Arizona program.
I also noted trends that were interesting to me about Utah vs. Arizona, but that is generally besides the point.
There’s really nothing to debate. There’s nothing to convince anybody of. More accomplished teams than 2019 Utah have come into Tucson and lost. And in almost every instance Arizona is a undermanned significant underdog. Of course Utah should win on Saturday, and probably will. But if they don’t, knowledgeable fans in the Pac 12 wouldn’t be surprised at all.
