What purpose does it serve to punish him?  And what advantage did he get by doing this?  He paid back whatever was spent on his account.  He wasn't taken away from another school.  He didn't get steroids and suddenly become stronger and better.  Its pointless except for being punitive.  The NCAA should be there to protect, promote and support the student athlete through college.  Letting Yoeli back into school with minimal or no suspension would have better served him as a student athlete without causing any harm to anyone else (except SDSU who would have lost had Yoeli played).
