My boss who is a good friend always got me a very nice gift basket

that I'm sure cost the company at least $100 (the gift basket to everyone else was alcohol). Most of it went to waste as my family apparently doesn't enjoy the finer things in life like hummus spread or fancy olives. A $100 bonus even that I pay taxes on would have been much more useful.
