I know you're not alone. I'm actually with you on this but as I replied
elsewhere the main difference is perspective.
I'm an insider, a 35 year fan of the Game, who has the opinion that the Game is fundamentally and significantly flawed but nevertheless not only recognized what I see as beauty in the Game, but to the degree that it is now my favorite sport.
It seems you're an outsider, or at most a very casual fan, and perceive the Game as being fundamentally and significantly flawed, and so largely reject it.
