My BIL is a car designer - he worked on the mid engine Corvette, the Escalade ESV etc... He says that when new car
designs come out that are different... that they are generally disliked for about 6 months... then people embrace them.

For instance.. the back of the Escalade ESV was hated when it first came out (that's the part of the car that he designed). People thought it was too boxy. But now, people don't think anything of it... or they like it because it helps designate it as a newer model... or they actually prefer it to the old model because the old model is too rounded. The design has become much better received over time.

The Lambo Urus is another example. People hated it when it came out... now I think the consensus is that it's a pretty cool car.

It will be very interesting to see how this "truck" is perceived in 6 months. Right now I think it was a swing and a miss. But... I changed my mind about the Urus and maybe I will change my mind about this "truck" too????
