Tiffany Millbrett, Shannon MacMillen, Megan Rapinoe, and Christine Sinclair were all Portland Pilots (as were Steve Cherundolo and Kasey Keller).

Brandi Chastain, Aly Wagner, and Julie Johnston Ertz played at Santa Clara. The two girls from Bend It Like Beckham were supposedly heading off to Santa Clara on soccer schollies.
